Alright so I hate to be making another thread about this as I was almost 100% sure on the set I want. However I've found now I can get a Pio 6010 for the same price as a 110, now my question is, if I am not getting an ISF calibration on it anytime soon, should I go for the extra real-estate? I sit about 9 ft away and personally don't want to regret anything too small but at the same time any lower quality. Which set is REALLY worth it in this situation. Sorry for making another thread but everyone on here is always so helpful.

Such an easy question to answer, 6010. Just go get it all ready. After you get it you will be kicking yourself wondering why in the world you waited so long. I just got a 5080 and am totally pissed I wasted months contemplating such an easy purchase.
Will you miss the extra calibration options in the user menu?
You should get the 6010. You'll definitely miss the 10 extra inches.

I think you answered your own question!

I think it's still that damn marketing that has me thinking I'm making a mistake because I'm not buying an "Elite." It really is annoying how they toy with people's minds like that haha.

I have a 50" Panasonic PDP & a PRO-150FD, you have a tough call to make but if you're looking for that BIG screen in-home theater like experience... I'll give the nod to the PDP-6010FD.

Elite is nice and all but I'd rather have the extra 10 inches. IMO the difference may be enough for 20% higher cost or so but not more than double lol.

both are great plasmas. the 6010 has 44% more screen area and that is a HUGE difference that you will see every time you watch it.
I've had the 6010 for about a month now. I opted to do the 150-hour break-in process (see the Kuro Settings/Issues thread), then switched to D-Nice's "reference settings" for the 6010:

I've tweaked settings a bit from there, but I honestly think the picture quality is already pretty amazing. Just because I'm a "natural born tweaker", I got the Digital Video Essentials set-up HD-DVD and will soon go through that process to see how the results compare to my current settings . A few months down the road, I may still invest in an ISF calibration - just to make sure I'm getting everything I can out of the set. For the moment, though, I'm still in awe everytime I watch something on HD-DVD or in HD from my Dish service. (Have you seen Sunrise Earth on Discovery HDTheater?)
FWIW - we sit about 10 ft. back from the TV, and both my wife and I are glad we went with a 60" rather than a 50". So, take this as a definite "thumbs up" from a very happy 6010 owner!

Thanks for all the input. I definitely have seen what people always talk about with getting used to sizes. Within six months of having my 37" I jumped to a 46" and it still doesn't feel that big. I'm almost scared 60" will be too large, but as long as there's no huge quality different, with the way things have been going, I guess it won't hurt for the extra inches.
And no, I haven't seen Sunrise Earth on Discovery HDTheater but soon I'm cashing in on some well earned vacation hours from work and I'll finally get to enjoy everything in my set up.
