View Full Version : Basement Window Curtain ? wfg97079 01-09-08, 11:06 AM Anyone know a good solution for blacking out small basement windows? scissorfightX 01-09-08, 12:18 PM you could do what i did - have some blinds made to a custom size at home depot or lowes. they're cheap at that small of a size and depending on the blinds you pick they can block out almost all the light. wfg97079 01-09-08, 01:55 PM How much did that cost you? Thanks scissorfightX 01-09-08, 02:52 PM i don't remember the exact price, but i think it was around $30. if it's a standard basement window you're talking about, it's only like 1' X 2', so you'll just end up paying whatever the minimum price is for a custom size. Look at skylight blinds. They have channels on each side that the blind uses when in a skylight to stay in place. The blinds are placed inside each channel to hold in place. Another benefit is that it blocks the light at the sides nicely. |
