I was playing around with the wife's digital photo frame that I got her for Christmas and thought I'd just slap the SD card from it into a USB card reader and then plug it into my Philips 50PFP5332 USB port and BAM!
Absolutely blew me away...
I got to say that this is one helluva way to present family photos to guests. The clarity is top notch, especially with pics taken with our 6 megapixel digital camera. You can adjust timing, pause, zoom and change picture transition schemes too.
I just love the USB port on this plasma!!!
Cool,I just got my 5332 a couple days ago.Cant wait to try the pic viewer now! What are your settings?

I've been thinking about getting the 42pfp5332. There's not much on this site about it. I was wondering what your opinions were on this plasma. I'm pretty sure that Phillips is a really good name but i was just wondering about this actual set.

hiller's reply to abbo: I assume your asking about my settings for contrast and brightness? If so, I think my C & B is 79 & 60 right now.

hiller's reply to Tipyourbartender: I absolutely love my 50pfp5332 and havent had any trouble with it in the last 4 months that I've owned it. I can only assume that the 42 and 50 are equally impressive. You'll love the USB port.
Great set, great price. Only issue might be that in SD I see some problems.I dont know if you'd call it motion blur or what but up close dosn't look great.Only in SD,HD is amazing.I sit about 15 feet away and at that distance it all looks good.
Hiller...have you noticed the same?
Does anvbody else out there have the 50pfp5332 or are me and hiller the only ones?

Yes, SD sux for the most part but I take great comfort in knowing that SD signals will eventually be a thing of the ancient past. Anything that I dislike in a SD signal displayed on my Philips is of no concern to me.
It does look like you and I are some of the only ones in here that own this TV. I absolutely love mine. I wish I were home with it right now...
Totally agree. Hey,I noticed on the BB website( I think it was BB) it said the 50pfp5332 has a swivel stand and anti-glare,probably a misprint but does yours have either of these features?
Mine has neither of those. It does have what they an "Anti ageing circuit" screen enhancement for IR and BI protection
