I ahve a Lumagen scaler and would like a SD DVD player for DVD. I need no scaling abilities...just a good player with out BTB issues, etc that does a great 480i out over HDMI.

I use a Oppo 970HD, works fine, but I would guess the 980 works just as well given the 970 isn't being sold now. There's a list of players at the top in a sticky that do 480i via HDMI. It may be a tad dated - some newer players not listed.
