While searching for a HDMI to Component converter I found this XCON YUV HDMI to (YCbCr/YPbPr) Converter from a company called ExtenHD. I'm unable to post the link as this is my first post here.
# Compliant with HDMI 1.2, HDCP 1.1 and DVI 1.0 specifications.
# Supports a wide range of resolutions: 480i/480p/576i/ 576p/ 720p/1080i/1080p@60Hz.
# Supports digital audio input through Co-axial cable, or analog audio input through L/R audio cable.
# IR remote control.
# HDCP compliant-when input is HDCP encrypted (protected) the component out will be turned off.
This seems to be a new one. Will it work as advertised? I have a Phillips TV which support 1080i but it has only component and RGB inputs. I want to connect an upconverting DVD player to my TV. Is there any quality loss when conveting from HDMI to Component?
Thanks.
