God, I hope not. Part of the reason I bought the Harmony was that it can be configured using any computer - including the Mac. I would hate to see Mac support for the Harmony end just like that. :(

Why would they have to end Mac support. The sell Office for Mac.

Tokenism?
I just do not trust Microsoft in general. Office for Mac is a good sign (even though I never use it), but they are not committed to making Mac versions of Office forever. Two years ago, they made a five-year commitment. What happens when that agreement expires?
Generally, they are not exactly the most Mac-friendly company in the bunch. I would, on general principles, prefer not to give my money to Microsoft at all if I can avoid it.

Microsoft mice work with Macs. Besides, why SHOULD Microsoft be Mac-friendly? Does Apple make sure all their products are compatible with PC's? Sure, iPod, but only for the same reason MS makes Office for Macs - because it makes them money. Quit attributing morality to large companies. Every move they have is about making money, not because it's good for customers. Sorry to inform you that includes Apple.

You'd think it would keep making Microsoft money if they could ensure that Logitech remotes would still work with Macs...

Something most folks don't realize is that Microsoft makes FAR more money per Mac then they do per PC. The margins are just far better on the products they sell on the Mac.
Believe me: if MS buys Logitech they will make sure that Logitech works on Apple products. It's simply good business for them.
I should reveal the fact that I worked for MS for 12 years and have been in many of these purchase meetings with 'the boys'...
You'd think it would keep making Microsoft money if they could ensure that Logitech remotes would still work with Macs...
Then you just answered your own question. If they make money by ensuring they still work with Macs, then they will. Why are you assuming they will drop Mac support?

Just because we think they will, doesn't mean they think so. They might not think it makes them *enough* money.
Why are you assuming they will drop Mac support?
Because...well, it's Microsoft, that's why.
