View Full Version : Problem with US Digital HD Receiver

I have a US Digital HD receiver model DB-2010. In the last month it has started displaying a message on the screen saying that it's going to shut the TV off and check for software updates. It does shut the TV off but never updates itself. This is happing 8-10 times a day and it's getting very annoying. When I go to the US Digital website there's nothing there. When I call the 800 number they're not there either. Does anybody know what's going on and how to solve this problem?

I believe US Digital no longer exists as a company.

I think they must have gone out of business, too. The receiver works fine but it's trying to update itself and can't do it because the company doesn't exist anymore. I'm wondering if there's any way to shut this updating feature off altogether. The receiver works fine except for this annoyance.
