Sorry for the newb, but this stuff is getting more confusing every time I try to sort through it. I am setting up a Music first/HT second system. I snagged a Yam Rx-v2700, going for a nice set of LRC (probably Sierras although not sure). Have a Bravia V3000 46", merry Christmas to me. Direct TV/HD.
I need something to play DVDs and CDs, preferably a 5 disc changer. I've read about the Oppo's. I gather they do everything well. I have been looking at the Yamaha website and see several models, but can't figure out where I should land on this deal. I want to make sure the SQ is a good as possible, but still be a good DVD player. I don't do HD or Blueray, but might as time goes on. I would spring for a Oppo but I've always had the 5 disc thing and for CD's its pretty nice not to have to change things every 30 minutes. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
