Hi Everyone
This is my first post here! I am looking for frames that I can use to make a light box, but I really don't want to spend too much. I also would like to get something local if possible. I have looked at Michaels but wasn't impressed. I would buy some from frameusa.com but I am sure the shipping would be nuts. So if anyone knows where I can get 27x40 frames of decent quality in and around Toronto I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Jason
The 27x40 frame retails for either 29.99 or 34.99, I have one and I am pleased with it, considering 2 more for inside my theatre, I just don't like the reflection I catch off the projector on them so I need to figure out a way to cover them up during the show. The Ikea in Burlington was out of stock last time I was in there over the holidays and I couldn't find them online at ikea.ca so you may have to go into one, there is an Ikea at Islington and Queensway I believe.
As far as turning one into a light box, I don't think the one at ikea is a very good canidate, it is only about an inch deep and is rather flimsy. You may want to consider making your own out of raw materials.

That answers my question. They have one at frameusa that looks good. It was the corporate wide frame. But I figure I will get killed in shipping. There has got to be somebody local.

Has anyone bought any frames from the Movie Poster Warehouse in Toronto? If so what is the quality. Also does anyone know where I could get frames locally that are easy to change the poster (fast-loading, snap frames)
Thanks

Have you checked a 50% off coupon for Micheals?
Cheers,
Jay

That 50% off coupon at Michaels is the biggest joke ever, they have the same coupon every week and everyweek everything in the store is on sale, I don't know if I've ever been able to use that bloody coupon before! :)

I have seen the coupon. But when I was in Michaels I wasn't too impressed with the frame. The one that looked decent was at least $50. But still not exactly what I am looking for. Thanks for all the replys though.
