I have a new setup for my bedroom.... I am putting all the equipment in the basement right below the bedroom, plasma is on the wall, I need to make my IR blaster cable longer by about 20ft longer. Anyone done this yet... I only need 1 blaster to go up for the plasma.

My Panasonic Pro plasma doesn't even have a power button on it either...

Could I just cut the wire and splice it with a longer run...? Or is there something I buy that lengthens it with cat5 or either?

Someone answered my quesiton at another forum, just thought I would post here in case anyone ever had this question..

You can just splice the IR wire and use cat5 in the middle to extend the length, I was told that even 50ft more length is attainable...
