I am building a dedicated theater/game room. My problem is that all my av equipment will be in the back of the room. We have the xbox 360 and ps3 and need to connect variuos usb items in the ports. I would like to do this without stringing 6 or even 8 lines around the perimeter of the room. We have rockband and several other games that require multiple ubs cables.

Now this theater is being built so I can run usb lines through the walls. Can I use a hub in front of the room that is connected to my ps3 and xbox 360 with only one line. Rockband uses 4 usb's and my duaghters dance dance game uses 2. I am trying to make a clean looking room without wires having to stretch across the room.

I'm doing a similar setup for Rockband :) I am running a USB line behind the wall, from my 360 to a little notch behind the trim I have at floor level. I'll connect a 4-port USB hub to that. In fact, you might want to run two of them, if you need the hub to work with both a PS3 and 360. Otherwise you'd have to switch the cable back and forth between the consoles.
