My receiver VSX-917V-K says it has it, But not sure what it does or how it works?

I heard it auto sets your TV & receiver to the input at the same time?

But i have to set each thing to the Input.


Also, will Polk RTI10's work good with VSX-917V-K? Do i need an amp? Can i hook one up?( Still within 30 days)
