Hello, new to the forums, I'm looking to replace a dying Onkyo DV SP-302. I've only used the player a hand full of times and I have never really been satisfied with it. During layer breaks, it usually pauses and skips ahead a several seconds, and lately the tray has decided it only wants to eject when it feels like it.

I still have an old standard definition TV, and really do not need an upconverting player, and would like to stay around $50-$80.

I been looking around for days and can't seem to find anything in my price range getting decent reviews. Any ideas?

So far I've looked at
- Refurbished Denon DVD 1720
(one review online states that it suffers from dot crawl and poor audio)
- Sony DVP-NS57P/S & DVP-NS77H/B
- JVC XV-N350B
- Phillips DVP3960

I say go with either the Sony or the JVC. I have had great products from both manufacturers using both regular and upconverting players. that's just my opinion though.....
