I recently purchased a Honda CRV and it came with XM radio. I am really disappointed with it. On the 60's channel, the DJ's talk over the song quite often and it's really annoying. I know they're trying to replicate 60's AM radio
but if I am paying for it, I want to hear the music, not the DJ's. They also advertise themselves too often. I originally thought "great, no more commercials" but I get them pushing themselves instead. The 3 month trial ended and they called me to renew for $13 per month. I read on another forum that they had a promotion called "Zwinback" which was $77 per year.
I don't see it advertised but they agreed. I don't know if I'll renew the next time around.

I have the same complaint but for me it's still better than our local radio stations.

never listened to the 60 channel, but i have no problem with the other channels on the rock catagories. the older stations just have the quick station tags, and the channels that play newer stuff actually have dj's i like (Cane on ethel for example). they don't talk over the songs and are usually pretty quick

The jocks on the 60's on 6 are much of the reason I love XM. For me, and a lot of people, radio is more than a jukebox, and a talented DJ is part of that whole experience. If I wanted just music I could load my 60's CDs onto an iPod. The sound of the 60s on 6 - the songs, the imaging, the jocks, everything - alone makes it worth my monthly tithe to XM.
