I have just gotten an electrohome 9500lc. I am started to check it out. but the image turns off and on as i am looking through the menus. Or when I have it hooked to the computer. any suggestions?

the HV supply is turning on and off most likely. Does the pix 'come back into focus' over say 1/2 second, or does it blink on and off?

If it comes back into focus, you have something shutting the HV down, and it's restarting. It could be a bad connection somewhere, worst case the HVPS is arcing internally and needs replacing.

curt the pictures goes out then yes it "comes back into focus". Thats correct the time is about 1/2 second. Yes it seems like the HV shuts down then comes back on. I left it turned off for about an hour or so came back. tried again and now it stays on. I will check it again later today. It does seem like something is loose. The HV leads did not look the greatest they were not the normal red but almost black in some spots.

Disconnect the HV leads going to the tubes one at a time. See if disconnecting one tube makes the other two stay on. REseat the HDM.

I removed all HV leads, and put them back in. That seemed to fix it. The projector does not have that issue anymore. Thanks.

I am not sure what you are referring to by "REseat the HDM"
