I can't remember the psscode needed to be put in to do calibration. Also, my 6PG is making this awful sound high pitch sound. How do I figure out why and how to stop it?

Thanks!

1. Feed it a signal.

2. 2580

MTyson,
If the chassis has been sitting for a long time keep a known registered signal running to it checking in the tube face to be sure the raster is off the edge and let it run out on low contrast. Use the active image with motion and not a static display like a test pattern.

If it was in the garage let it sit inside for a day before running. If you still have a noise use a small rubber hose to your ear and locate where the noise is coming from. Might be a fan or a cap oscillating. Doug

Thanks for the replies. I probably should've waited. I ended up finding the code on Google. I'm having a hard time figuring out again how to create a new input. I push every button I can think of on an empty number (I accidentally did it once, but didn't set it to RGB) slot, but now I can't repeat it. I want to create a new input to calibrate from scratch.

It's driving me mad. I push enter, store, everything and it's a no go, but somehow I did it once by accident on slot 10. Someone please tell me what the secret it to create a new input! lol

Your not really having a good couple of days are you?

BTW: You shouldn't run the projector if the glass is broken, it will leak glycol as it heats up.

Hit adjust. Go to passcode in the menu.

Hit enter.

Enter 1111 then confirm 1111. Store- enter.

Shut off.
Turn back on and hit adjust. Put in 2580 then enter.

Your in the service mode now.

Adjust / Signal entry / new entry

You have to enter from a open signal line.

The entry will be RGB then select temporary.

Set phase for the signal.

The secret is reading 'signal entry' in the manual but you have to be in the service mode first.

Yeah, things could be better. lol

Just wondering, but what is the worst I can expect if I run it? I had it running for hours last night. I need to replace the tube anyway, btw.

Thanks for the help! :)

You don't have to replace the tube, you need to replace the glass unless you need to replace because of wear. If you run it its going to leak even in drops. Make sure you clean it up because it's corrosive and it will eat carpet and chassis metal.

I would suggest you remove the tube before it causes problems. Doug
