I just recently purchased a Pioneer 5080 and am waiting for my Panasonic BDP-30 Bluray player to arrive. Before it shows up I would like to have everything in order as far as wiring goes.

I have a Bell ExPressvu HD PVR, Yamaha RX-V1600 reciever, the Panasonic BDP-30, and a Marantz DV4600 SD DVD player.

What I'm wondering is; do I run HDMI from the PVR and from the new Bluray player to the Yamaha reciever and then run one HDMI cable from the reciever to the Pioneer 5080. Is this the best approach for audio and video or is there a better method. I do need a long cable from the reciever to the plasma so I need to order this but before I do I want to make sure this is the best route to go.

You don't need CL2 jackets if you cables are not enclosed in wall. 1.3 specs will do nothing for you now but might in the future. "Gold" contacts and ferrite cores are good. I'd get the fancy RED ones for only a few bucks each! :D
