Years ago i found an ir detector kit that had a visible led so when i pressed the remotes button the light would flash, well ive since moved and cannot seem to find it. I have no idea where i bought it, but it was a simple device that i could use to see if my components were getting the ir signal and it worked over a distance of 15+ feet.
Ive been going through various forums online and have found many schematics to make one, and although they have been successful, the distance it works from is under 4 feet (ive tried other sensors, and thats not the problem).
So my question is, could someone give me an idea where to look for one? (kit, preassembled, doesnt matter)
