Good Lord, Im so excited getting my PS3 soon. And Ill even start shopping now for BR movies in Amazon.com. I got some questions though:

1. Quality wise, are these movies good? Cuz I read there are some which are not that properly made in high def: (Ill add the list soon though, Ill check most that I can first)

2. Are there plans for a boxed set for Pirates of the Carribean(if there is none yet)?

3. Im still checking the titles... any good zombie movies in BR? Or any particular movie that is very well done(blockbusters)?

4. Are added features already good in BR? Or are most just the movies alone?

THANKS!

If you're worried about picking up a movie with a crappy transfer, check reviews before hand here http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/reviews.html

Not sure about the Pirates box, I was curious about that myself.

I believe so far the only true zombie movies out currently are Dawn and Day of the Dead. If you want to push it, you could consider 28 days/weeks later, and Evil Dead 2. If/when Universal Studios jumps to bluray, expect to see Land of the Dead/Dawn of the Dead remake fairly quickly.

The site I mentioned at the beginning of this post will help with special features also. It all depends on the movie, some are bare bones, and some have lots of bonus features.

Transfer quality can vary pretty wildly, although newer releases are generally good to great.

The "Tier" thread in this forum will give you an idea of which movies are considered tops. Pick at least one of the "Tier 0" titles to wow yourself. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=858316

Depending on how much of a fan of Dawn of the Dead you are, you might want to hold out on a better release some day down the road, and possibly pick up the ultimate edition on dvd.

Rent before you buy if you are on the fence. That avoids disappointment as one's mileage varies with PQ and AQ.

I'd agree - if you aren't sure rent. The tier thread (Link in my sig) will also give you an idea. Generally can't go wrong with anything in Tier 0 or 1.

A request for Boxed Sets, Zombies, and Blockbuster? How about the recently released Resident Evil Trilogy. Highly rated on HighDefDigest and by the way the Hero is HOT!!!

Spider Man 1-3

I would recommend getting the trilogy on Amazon while it's still $43 shipped. It's $70 in stores.

Fugitive is a poor transfer, hardly better than a DVD. Dracula also had less than favorable reviews. Do check the Tier thread in the stickies on this board.
