The thread makes reference to Duron paint. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=10073240#post10073240 Southern Av8r 01-06-12, 10:39 PM For those looking for the Milano Blue (Dennis E. original) over the past few years here's the Lowes Olympic Formula I used with success that Dennis provided at some point (as close as I can tell comparing mine with the many older forum pics). I'm posting because of all the old links and various formulas and paints out there (Olympic, SW and Duron) as well numerous posts on the "dated" Lowes formula some had trouble with at the store. I know as I spent an hour + looking at the old forum links as well as three trips to paint stores... Lowes 1 Gallon Olympic Premium Base 3 Flat White The guys loaded this into the machine manually 101 0Y 102 3Y 115 2 Y 113 1 Y Color as best I can tell is the same as the Milano Blue posted early on. I tried the SW formula on the links and found it too much of a light blue, but it is similar. Duron Atmospheric Blue is too light as well. As many posted, the color does seem to change based on light (like a dusk sky). I hope this helps someone out there going through all the old links and formulas in the future. Color looks great with very dark brown walls (BM HC-70 Van Buren Brown). Thanks to all that posted on this dated topic and added the links to track down and try the formulas out. Rich Elill 01-07-12, 03:23 PM Its interesting - I've not seem Dennis use it in a room for a good while now...I wonder why? unless he doesn't post the pics...in saying that he's doing those fine, fine, fine coffers instead |
