Hello!

I've been a lurker here for a while. Long before I even registered, I was reading threads here. I really have found some awesome information.

About my room.

15x20 Bonus Room over the garage.

It has two large windows, one within a 6'x4.5' area on the right side.

I would like to put in a scope screen with a projector.

I have been messing around with visio, and sketchup on two designs. I'm still pretty new with sketchup, so my visio designs look much better.

One design has the screen on the interior 20' side wall, the other is the screen at the far end on the 15' wall. The house faces north-south so the far end window receives direct morning sun.

Here are two pictures showing the room during construction.

I plan on putting the equipment in this area (rack in the wall)

The two rough designs so far:

I know I cannot use sand for a stage, but I would really like one. Thoughts on what I can use for insulation given the room's location?

I am leaning toward a DLP projector right now, and I am still researching models.

Any input is welcome, and I'll update this thread as I progress.

Video Sources:
TiVo HD
Sony BD

Speakers:
Definitive Tech BP-8, CLR-2500, PF-15TL+, BP2X. I may get another pair of BP2Xs for the 7.1 setup, or just stay 5.1.

I have a Kenwood 1090VR that I will replace with a Yamaha 3800 for its HDMI Switching, and DTS decoding.

I stated this was a re-design. The room was finished (carpet and lighting). It currently has a 55" RPTV, and all the audio/video gear in a large entertainment center.
