Does anybody know if they corrected the 1080p PIP/1080i movie situation?

I read in another thread about a replacement program going on and that's cool and all but, I rather just buy it straight up.

If there is two copies out there - How can you tell the difference?

What exactly is wrong with the T3 BD? I don't have it yet...just wondering.

When Warner released it on Blu-Ray many here at AVS said the movie itself didn't play in 1080p, only 1080i. The only way it played 1080p was with the PIP commentary-this is how I understood it.

Quite strange considering it was already released on HD DVD without a hitch.

There are none at this point. Warner hasn't decided how or what they are going to do and are only taking customer information at this point.

Currently there are no plans to pull existing copies off retail shelves.

They should just redo it in PIP 1.1 with a blu-ray encode.. Stop producing current discs until they have all been sold. Kinda like their plan with the TrueHD/PCM Superman Returns.

I kept my copy.I can only get 1080i on my plasma so i watched it at 750p and it looked great.The 5.1 sound just blow away the R2 DTS DVD that i have:).Cant imagine what it could sound like in PCM or TRUE-HD:eek:
