Picked it up. Like romantic comedies and a Jessica Alba fan.
Quick thoughts.
PQ - 8/10 - Looks very good. A few shots looks a little bit soft or lack a bit of detail but overall still has that high def pop.

AQ 7/10 - PCM Sounds good on my PIO elite but the track itself didn't do much that I remember.

Story 6/10 - Lotsa sex and skin. The humor is more low brow "Something about Mary" than romantic "Best friend wedding.". I prefer the latter and the story line wasn't as good as SoM, in fact it was downright silly as it went on but there some smart laughs to redeem it somewhat.

Still if you picked it up to see lots of high def Alba though I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Saw the trailer ( and horrible reviews)and this looked HORRIBLE...can't imagine payin a premium to own it.

Gotta admit, she saved it for me ;) but with the poor story and not-always-funny crassness, I can't recommend overall.

I'm sorry to be chauvinistic but if I don't at least get some alba side-boob, I don't know that I can even rent it. :D

Watched it last night with my girlfriend and we both enjoyed it. The sex scene montage was probably a bit much, but didn't bother me any (some of those girls were real hot). It wasn't a great movie, but it was a decent flick to sit and watch on a lazy night. I probably wouldn't have bought it if I had seen it at the theaters, but I'm not upset that I bought it either. It will probably be watched again, but not nearly as often as many of my other movies.

It's not worth buying, but a rental for sure.

This disc could have a PQ and AQ of 20 out of 10, I still wouldn't buy it.

We watched and laughed quite a bit. Good rental.

I bought this. I thought it was good! We laugh at it. But darn was Jessica's skin oily really bad or was it me? That dude from Balls of Fury made the movie. He was so funny in it!

Lots of opinions in here suggest that Dane Cook is horrible. If you don't like him, why bother with the movie? Have you even seen it? I'd rather people leave their comments out of here who haven't seen it. Throwing out insults and downers on the movie just to make it seem like you have better taste than the person watching is unwarranted. Just a suggestion though, not forcing anyone to not speak their mind.

For those that DID watch it, did you notice if the movie had any DNR applied to it? If it's not DNR, could it be a smoothing feature in the codec used (I believe it was AVC)? I kept wondering throughout the movie as things just looked to smooth. And no, not those you perverts!

I can certainly see where you're coming from, though sometimes people just want to be entertained and don't want to get entwined in plots, storyline, etc. In that way, these types of movies are guilty pleasure. I think we all have one or two movies like that in our life.

I THOUGHT this Movie was about a Guy who dated a Girl who was really unlucky and accident prone. WOW! Was I wrong!! Thank God the kids weren't watching with me. Alba is definitely HOT , and this Movie is definitely NOT!

All I needed to see on this release was the phallic preview poster of Alba and the ice cream cone - class, subtlety, taste, it was clear this title had none of that. Drek.

Not for me. Movie content always rules over PQ and AQ.

There were many places that I laughed and thought everyone did a good job with one exception, there was a huge lack of chemistry between Cook and Alba. They did their parts well, but not so much when they were together. They looked awkward together.

I had the feeling like the whole way through the movie she was wondering what her agent was thinking to get her this gig.

Schindler's List was funnier. I really think Dane Cook is to comedy what a small puncture is to a space ship.

This movie has some crass aspects that creates the overall negative impression.

Taken on the whole though, besides 'the hotness' it has a number of funny moments and jokes thoughout. Some funny stuff in the supplemental material as well which is why I gave it some credit in my rating. If you can bypass what offends you, there lots worse movies in high def.

I did like the supplementals on this one, some of them were pretty funny. But even in the supplements, you could tell Alba was not enjoying herself very much.

From the supplements, it seemed like the directors main reason and passion for this movie, was giving that one actress a digital 3rd breast. If they had used that as the promotional material for the film, it would have been more representative.

Quick question.......

This is the first (and only, so far) BR I have seen on my new Panny BD30. It is hooked up via HDMI to a 1080i set. HDMI Audio is set off. Aspect is 16:9, with 1080i selected.

The movie looked very good, except for outside scenes being a little washed out. Others have said the same.

But, several times during the movie there was flashing. Whenever they showed the elevator with the blue doors, the doors had some flashing. Also, when he was in the restaurant with the "big" girl, there was some. It only happened a few times, but I wonder if it is the DVD or my settings?

Or maybe Jessica Alba went into this role fully understanding what it was and hoping to get a Someting about Mary low brow comedy type hit? If only it was written as cleverly.

Perhaps they also want to give Alba a (even) more sexy image rather than quite as much the sweet girl? Christina Aguilera from The Mickey Mouse Club for instance underwent such an image makeover...

The merits of this movie are obviously low, it is just a crude and LCD appealing grab at video rental cash. That said, I went it to it expecting to hate it but I came out with a slight grin and not feeling like I totally wasted an hour and a half. This movie was the McDonalds double cheeseburger of romantic comedy. Not filling, not classy, and will just satisfy for a brief period time leading to a slight feeling of nausea. Saying that, I'd like to begin a campaign to bring Dan Fogler in front of the Hague for his crimes against humanity. If he's the future of comedy, I'd consider it an all out genocide against laughter.

Into the Blue is one movie I show to a lot of my friends when it comes to blu-ray... you can guess what gender they are. The PQ may not be the greatest but Jessica Alba is definitive reference material.

Since some of us are on the pervy oogling subject, it seems like there really hasn't been a lot of films with much T & A released. I don't want skank ass porn stars in high def... but I wouldn't be lying when I say it wouldn't be terrible to look at an A list actress nude. Oh well, I guess I just have to be happy with action movies for now.
