Hey everyone, I made a new thread earlier today and requested for it to be stickied, which Alan did. Thanks Alan!

There seem to be more and more threads of show me ....... So I linked all the threads in one post. If there are some I have missed, let me know.

I'll clean up the titles tonight to be a little more descriptive.

Brian: thanks for taking that task on. I think it serves the membership to have a master thread for each of those "show me" topics vs having multiple threads asking for the same set of pics.

I assume the mods have signed on to merge new "show me" threads that may pop up with the existing master threads linked in your sticky? That's half the battle (since a fair amount of members won't review the stickies or use the search engine before starting their threads ;) ).

I'll take it on. I'm on here a minimum of once per day and just about to begin my home theater build (that I anticipate will take over a year).

If I get to the point where I won't be visiting any longer, I'll ask a moderator to take over the updates. For now, please send me a PM with any changes (and I have some to make already) and I'll get them done within a couple of days at most.

I'll keep a lookup for new "Show me" threads and I'm sure the regulars will PM me if any new ones show up.

I'm hoping that over time it becomes ingrained that they are all right there and it becomes as known as the graphic eye and acoustical treatment threads.

Thanks.

Brian: I appreciate that...but maybe the more direct question is will the mods merge redundant request threads with existing thread master thread?

A clear example is we have a nice long "show your rack" existing thread. A couple of weeks ago another member started the same "show us your rack" topic thread. I sent an report post linking the existing thread asking if the new one could be merged with the existing multi page thread. ....the request was ignored. I assume one of your goals is we'll have ONE thread, instead of a half dozen all asking for the samething. A concise master thread. Is that possible?

Gotcha. That is a good idea to keep the clutter to a minimum. You are right in that there are multiple threads. The moderators in the HDTV Programming section do a good job of merging the threads. I would hope that the fact that this sticky is here would help to eliminate new threads being created, but we all know a new one will pop up from time to time. I'll ask about it.
