This seemed like the appropriate sub-forum to pose this in.

A friend of mine who is a contractor contacted me about doing a stereo setup in a restaraunt that he is re-finishing. I'm great with set up and tuning but have lost my familiarization with components. So I come to you guys with the requirements/request to pull this off.

He would like:

8 internal flush mount wall speakers for indoors.
4 exterior speakers
PA System w/interupt functioning on the exterior speakers only
Satelitte Radio feed
A source
and 4 zone independant volume control.

What shopping list would you put together to pull this project off? (Right down to the quality speaker wire....)

He has nothing at all.

The possibilities are endless. What's the budget?

I don't know as of yet. I'm looking for recommendations. Estimations of cheap to mid range setup.

anywhere from 5K-10K?

perhaps, ProSoundWeb (http://srforums.prosoundweb.com/index.php/m/195955/0/?srch=restaurant#msg_195955) is a better place to ask this

we used JBL in a small cafe

There is a really cheap little jbl / crown system. Sold thru Harman Group Pro dealers.

If you can swing a dbx zonepro you will much better off. Real good for routing and gives you lots of control options. Real easy to have wall mounted zone controls and will do zoned paging.
