Watching WFFT 36-1 in 1080i on Sunday during the football games was stunning. In fact digital artifacts was not noticeable compared to the three networks doing multicasting which were prevelant. I know that the transmission antenna is only 212 feet above ground. And 970 watts of power. How good or how far would that 970 watts travel at 735 feet? Installing xg-43 antennas has worked out well in most cases. In fact tuesday evening a medium signal was still working at State road 101 just 1/4 mile south of Antwerp road. This location according to the polar plot of dt 36 is the cut off point . I am impressed no pre-amp no distribution amplifiers and a two way splitter is in place. The only odd component is I used rg-11 from the garage roof to the basement of the house. Also a highband yagi is aimed at dt-12 with a channelmaster VHF/UHF mast mounted combiner between the antennas.

FOX broadcasts at 720p, not 1080i. Your display may be set for 1080i, but the signal you are receiving is at 720p and your system is converting it to 1080i.
