Got my Harry Potter SS from Amazon and it won't play in my PS3 40gb. Is it a bad disc or something else? thanks

No ideas here. Do you have the latest firmware on your PS3?

2) Ensure that it's not a HD DVD.

Shouldn't those steps be reversed? :cool:

1. Cheek to ensure its a region A BD.
2. Make sure you have up to date firmware.

If that's not it then swap out the disc at any store that has them.

I'm almost positive my friend has never done a firmware upgrade since day 1 of him buying the PS3 (about 7 months ago) and this disc worked. I'll check with him tonight. If it did, it obviously isn't the firmware.

I got my Harry SS yesterday. I have the latest updates in my PS3 40 GIG version. And I had no problems at all playing the disc.
