It seems to me that Steve Jobs doesn't know what Blu-ray 1080p movies look like? :) Hasn't he watch "Cars" on Blu-ray?

Sure, but look at how we went from big brick iPod to iPhone in just over five years. If Apple commits to the Apple TV long term we could easily see the 3rd or 4th iteration supporting 1080p with with lossless sound (in 5 years or so). This would just coincide with the majority of people being ready to shift fully away from DVD.

That's the killer strategy... let Blu-ray market the hell out of HD movies and then swoop in at the last minute with and grab all the customers.
