I havent finished downloading it yet, started late yesterday and decided not to finish...

Is it really that boring? Does it look good at least? Eye Candy makes dull and boring games a little more playable.

That seems to be the general consensus, I will probably finish downloading the demo tonight at at least give it a chance...

bleh. The Color palate use for this game is very bland and unappealing. The weapons feel weak and ineffective and the NPCs are really annoying.

The only redeeming value in this game is the knife kills look pretty cool.

Not even worth the $5 for a rental.

Hmm... the dino will act to rag doll physics untill its fully dead. While you kill it it still will respond to movment and get pushed, bounced, or launched if you touch it before it completly dies.

The graphics look good, and make sure you stand up if you want to run faster.

Sure there are few glitches but that is why it is a demo...

The only thing I am tripping about is the way he moves... Kind of bouncy for my liking. Like the character animation is to fast, it needs to be slowed down a little. The way I can tell is if you look at the guns bouncing... Even when holding the knife....

The voice acting is decent, but the vocal soundtrack seems like its a 54kb mp3... almost like it was dubbed off reel-to-reel.

I liked the gameplay. Dinos seemed really fast, ai seemed good, but it's still missing *something*. It's neat, pretty fun, but the demo doesnt have that grab-you-keep-you awesomeness.

The overall "feel" still needs some tweaking.

I wish there would have been sensitivity sliders in the menus for the analog sticks.

I played it last night and didn't finish it, not a big fan of FPS on consoles but i wanted to give it a try. Was ok i guess. Not my cup of tea so i'm not buying it.

Movements are slow, i was like.. where's the run button damnit! The knife kill is fun on the little dinos :p. But that's about it.

I didn't particularly like the demo. I liked the original turok alot so I thought I might like this, but I really didn't :(

I was going to buy this game,until I played the demo.Now I won`t even rent it.It was pretty bad.
It's boring,the graphics kinda suck(compared to FPS out now),it`s repetitive,your partner keeps saying the same thing over and over again,the dinosaurs don`t look impressive at all,etc.,etc.
It`s only a demo,but with the game shipping in under 3 weeks,this is probably how the game will be.What a dissapointment.:mad:
The good thing about this demo is that if it didn`t come out,I would`ve wasted $60 on this game.
I guess the last good Turok game we`ll ever play was on the N64.

I don't think this is the final build , is this not the same demo that has been available on disc for a couple months ?

I think soo too... Its not final it has somewhat of potential... I'll replay it tonight. Its minor things that need to be worked out. Lot of you that compare the game to others well thats fine, but its a different type of shooter?

The idea of running down trying to kill soldiers and then being chased by a huge TReX? priceless!! it gives me a tingle down the spine yo! A scary feeling LOL!

I was disapointed... I thought the dino animations were very poorly done. they kinda jerked around and not as smooth as they could have been.

Also, It was easiest to just swipe em with the knife than shoot anyways...

pretty disappointing to me. graphics and story didn't hold my interest at all. i also had some trouble with the controls. that stealth part was pretty cool though.

That thing was a turd. I had high hopes for this title.

I was super happy after playing the demo, it's one less game I have to be buy, because I was considering it. There's just too much out there that's so much better. I was left completely unimpressed with every aspect of the game. It actually left me longing to play the N64 version, I miss that game.

i was really looking forward to this demo, but i didnt liek it.

it was fun for the first coupel of dinos that i killed, but after that, eh.

i even managed to kill 3 dinos and have them die floating mid-air about chest level. not once, three times. i understand its a demo, and i hope they fix stuff like that, but overall i was very underwhelmed.

I never really judge on a demo but I didn't like this one at least in that state.

Finally got around to playing the demo and I loved it. :) Just put in my pre-order for a copy

Yeah, this was pretty horrendous. $60 for this and some people think $40 for GT5 Pro is too much.

This demo is terrible, plain and simple.

i kept dying in the caves while using the guns...even double wielding... then i tried the knife.... the knife is definitely the weapon of choice as it seems to be the most effective for most dino fights. Second is the shotgun... i like this demo cause i could at least change the y-axis look.. i like the invert y-axis. kane and lynch was deleted cause i could not invert the y-axis look.

I look forward to it. I hope it isn't as bad as everyone says. Killing dinos sounds fun.

I don't think the demo was THAT bad, it just wasn't that great. Tons better than that piece of crap Area 51 game, but yeah, not worth buying...

Isn't it funny? Some games are better off without a demo I think. This and Area 51 are two of them. They can then try to "dupe" people. When you either release a demo that sucks, or a demo of a game that sucks (usually both) you seemingly only hurt sales, not help, as a demo is supposed to do.

Turok will be patched day one to include rumble and 1080i support if anyone's interested.

didn't like the demo too much but it's not as bad as people say. I wasn't expecting anything good anyway. Too many good games around to waste money on this.
