Haven't been around this forum much since I swapped out my NEC XG1352LC for a Qualia 004. I now have a Sharp XV-Z20000, the latter two projectors being digital.

With the continued rise in digital performance, compared with the continued plummet in digital prices, I wonder who, if anyone, is still making CRT Front Projectors?

Just a friendly inquiry. Thanks.

ELectrohome/VDC still cranks out the 8110, 8500 and 9500 Ultras and derivatives thereof. Barco is still in business, but rumor has it they are giving really crappy after sales support as they want to get people into digitals.

There's a zillion parts out there for the NECs/Barcos/MArquees/SOnys (except the G90) and even Ampros to keep them long after the Qualias and Sharps of the world bite the dust.

As Curt said VDC still produces the Marquee and I believe some custom Ampro based machines. Most of these are sold for commercial installations such as flight simulations where reliability and servicability are very important

They also do the E&S raster calligraphic projector.

There are probably some small companies out there that still support the old Thales/Thomson simulation projectors.

I also see that Barco still show CRT machines on their site, are they still manufacturing them or are they working off of old stock?
