Switched a couple of DVD player/recorders around today. After the switch, I cannot figure out why I can't get one to show up on my TV. I have it hooked up like this:
DVD A/V out to Video 1 in on TV
Select Video 1 input on tv
get audio but video is scrambled.
Any tips?
Answered m y own question. Need to have component hook up if on progressive scan.
Well, what I thought was a fix, is a no go. Got a component cable, still have scrambled video. Can't figure this out.

What's your TV? Try resetting the DVD player to factory settings.
I'm trying to hook it up to a Sony KVFS100. Looks like a resolution problem. Checked all settings.

The only thing that comes up for that model number is a plain ol' 13" tube TV. Highly unlikely that it will accept progressive scan, just switch the DVD player to interlaced.
KV27FS120. It's a Sony WEGA 27" flatscreen w/PIP about 7 yrs old.

yeah, not a progressive scan capable TV, you have to switch that off on the DVD player.
OK. Thanks for your help!
