On our desktop Sirius seems to have disappeared! I use it almost all the time when the computer is on - 10 hours or so a day. It worked fine on Saturday and this morning on the desktop the regular Sirius web connection would not finish, it would come up but the black bar that usually says buffering, etc. said nothing it was blank. I normally use the yahoo widget for Sirius and it will not start but when I go to click on the widget to start it it shows the current song in the station I was listen to yesterday.

I did all the usual stuff, several reboots, reinstalled the widget, forced Windows media to reformat it self, plus some other stuff the tech guys told me to do. I ran spyware, and anti-virus.

Now I have tired it enough I get a message that I have reached max. daily login and can't get on until tomorrow!

The topper to this is on our laptop on our wireless network all is fine, except now that gets the message but it worked fine today. Also when I called tech support they could sign on using my screen name and password and it worked for them.

Any help would be appreciated!

I don't know why your regular Sirius Internet Radio access would be down for so long, but there is a way of dodging the 90 minute "Are you still listening?" prompt and the maximum daily login annoyance.

Visit this site and download the free alternate media player:
http://streamon.siriusdev.org/

Enter your Sirius username and password, choose "category", "genre", double click on the channel you want to listen to and enjoy...

stream_on works great but the other problem is still there with the widget and the regular Sirius tuner. I called tech support and he didn't have a clue! At least the max daily login is gone! I'll use stream_on thanks for the help!

another plus with steam_on!!!! We can now have Sirius on our laptop at the same time by using the Sirius sign in site. Go Figure but since we both like to listen to Sirius it is a nice deal for us.

If you dont want to use stream on for whatever reason, I use an autoclicker called AutoMouseClicker. Set it to click the sirius screen every 5 minutes and viaolaaa your all set.

go to google and search for automouseclicker and it will be the first result. 100% Free:D

I had the same problem with the Internet Radio suddenly not working. I called their Tech. support and he had me re-download the adobe Flash and the newest version of Windows Media Player.
That solved the problem.
Links to both are in the FAQ's on the Sirius home page.

i've been having problems accessing sirius online since last week. i called customer service 3x. they tried telling me it was my computer (even though I told them it couldn't be because i could not access sirius online from 3 other computers) so they had me delete cookies, update my browser, download a new browser (firefox), and download a new media player -- all to no avail. I had asked last week if there were other people w/the same problems, and the customer service rep said he had no way of knowing. i called again today and insisted on speaking to a manager. the manager told me that they are aware of this problem and have been bombarded w/phone calls and admitted the problem was at their end -- it's tied into the new digital quality system. he said it won't be fixed until april 11!!!!!! i got a 1-month credit.

Same issues here, I have had problems for about a month. Last week I emailed and got a response that didn't make any sense about them reactivating my stream. Yesterday I emailed with no response. Today I called. I was told that the problem will be resolved completely in the next hour (I doubt that).

Just a suggestion...

Even if you weren't having stream problems (perhaps related to your account), my own recommendation is that you do NOT use the feature-barren official 1-channel Sirius Internet Radio Player.

I was using StarPlayr until it was put out of business on March 10 by SXM (because it was based on re-streaming the Sirius and XM streams through a server, which is against the rules). And I was using StarPlayr because I could NEVER get the official Sirius player to work on any of my WinXP Pro machines.

But in its place, I discovered that there are two Yahoo widget players available... one for Sirius and a second for XM. These are 3rd-party developed products, but Yahoo is an authorized partner, so the widget is touted and approved by SXM (if not actually supported by them).

And, just like the now deceased StarPlayr, both Yahoo widget players work perfectly on all of my machines. Incidentally, there is no "timeout" symptom with these. You can leave them playing in the background for hours without a care.

I recommend the Sirius widget very highly. You can get it here. (http://widgets.yahoo.com/widgets/sirius-satellite-tuner)

agreed, uSirius works great for me. There was one time in 2 months that I couldn't access it.

Now you have to pay $2.99 extra just to listen to Sirius over the internet. With the merger prices were supposed to go down but instead they are jacking rates up with this $2.99, $2 for each extra radio, and rates are rumored to go up. I am canceling my subscription today as they are not worth the price increases when it really should be going down.

Does anybody know where I can find an online version of Sirius FAQ?

I am looking a reference to how many online sirius connections you can have at one time? I have three squeezebox's and wanted to know if they can play difference sirius channels at once (let alone if I listen online from my pc).

Thanks!

One connection per account. If you attempt to play a different channel on a second Squeezebox on the same account, Sirius will log off the first one with an error.

My free internet radio is gone today.
Because I negotiated back in March, I have a credit for another quarter so I can cancel or I will lose it.
I told the guy, go ahead and charge me for the internet but I will cancel in September.
This moron, doesn't miss a beat, says ok.
I ask if I can pre cancel (I knew I couldn't) and he says no.
He then goes on to not one but two sales pitches about a free radio and a lifetime subscription.
I was polite on the first one, but the second one I was insulted.
I said, I guess you didn't hear me, if you are not giving me free internet listening, you don't want me as a customer so I am done with Sirius.
He goes finally goes silent.

It blows my mind that they will be willing to lose a paying long term customer, over a $3 monthly charge that costs them nothing.
They will not budge on it, I tried the last time I talked to them.
They have nothing to offer me besides Stern and I can find other avenues to get him.
I want to give them my money, they just don't want it.

One of SXM's justifications for charging for internet stream is that they would be able to provide higher quality audio.

Anyone notice an improvement in quality since March?

They've had the higher quality for years in the 128k premium internet package that cost $2.99/mo. They recently stopped the free 32k stream (except for lifetime subs), and those that opt for the $2.99/mo get the same premium 128k stream mentioned above. And yes, the improvement in quality is dramatic.
