I'm looking for a DVDR (1080p) with ATSC for my projector (Infocus In76) to watch TV via OTA. After I've read many threads, I thought I'd try Philips DVDR3575H/37, but it has no volume control on its remote.

Could anyone recommend me an up-converting DVDR with ATSC tuner with volume control?

Thank you for your help.

I've seen players with volume controls, but not a recorder...for sure not Panasonic's

Another point about volume control - if you are using a digital connection to your amp and sending bitstream data, you cannot control the volume from the source, only from the amp.

DVDRs with ATSC tuners down-convert the signals to 480i, and do not output a HD 1080p signal, or even pass one through. Of course, the broadcast signal will be in 1080i, or 720p, but not 1080p. I'm afraid you will have to buy a hi-def tuner to do what you want.
