I just purchased this today and got everything hooked up. Am i completely blind or does this dvd player not have any options for brightness and such.

Also since i have it hooked up to HDMI when i watch regular dvds is it automatically upconverting or do i have to change an option?

There is no brightness option, that's typical, usually it's better to adjust that on your monitor anyway.

There is a resolution selection on the front panel (one of the touch sensitive buttons). You press that repeatedly to select your desired resolution.
