I could certainly be wrong, but it sounds like a "White Van" speaker to me. Although, not on this list, these guys are sleazebags and come up with new "angles" all the time.

I have a pair of Acoustic Profile book shelf speakers. They are an old Canadian brand. They sound great to me. I just have them hooked to the speaker outputs on my old Proscan tv set.

I have the PSL 88.6 towers and the C-200 center channel. I love them. I can't believe they sound as good as they do for the price I paid almost 12 years ago. The company went under about 5 years ago, making the 10 year warranty they came with void. But it doesn't matter. They are bullet proof and sound spectacular. I would have to spend allot of cash to improve so i just never have. Very happy with them.

I have a pair of these tower speakers and they sound great.. I think they are considered bass reflex speakers. My advise is listen to them yourself and base your decision on that.

Good Luck!

Acoustic Profiles was a brand of Audiosphere Research from Canada, and I've owned a couple pairs over the years which have been excellent. The used to be carried by various audio shops, but also by Future Shop. Their peak of popularity was during the 90's, and they were generally reviewed quite well.

I just got another pair of PSL-88.6, and they keep up very well with my Polk Audio RTi A7's which I've been comparing them to this evening. If anybody has a chance to buy these products used for a great deal, definitely take a listen as they are certainly not "white van" stuff ;-)
