Hi..

Just bought a Benq w10000 and want to have the unit isf calibrated...i live in kitchener ontario canada about 1 hour west of toronto...i want to know the name of a isf calibrator who has accually worked on these units before....?I would also feel more comfy with avs members recommendations, then just calling one up in the phone book..

thanks

Does the unit have some connection to AVS....I don't understand how anyone here would know who calibrated your projector? I guess I am missing part of the story???

As far as someone in your area, I would start by visiting the ISF website. They have a listing of trained ISF techs..

Here's the list from Canada:

Hey, no problem. I understand now what you are looking for. I think that is a terrific question to ask a potential ISF tech. I would use the list of techs from in your area from the ISF website that I linked. I would call them and ask about what they charge and what is covered by that cost. I would ask if they have calibrated any BenQ projector from the 8720-9000-1000 all should be similar ...with the W10000 allowing for more refined ISF adjustments.

I like using the LionsAV group since I know they are all of the same level of experience and offer fair pricing...as opposed to hiring Joe Staff member from Best Buy or local guy working out of his van. Not that there are qualified members that can be found in the yellow pages, it's just somewhat of a hit or miss.

+1

I used a guy from your area and his name is Michael and I think he was from LionsAV as I remember. He did a great job and was very helpful!

Michael Chen from LionsAV is excellent and has experience with the W10000. In fact, he did the calibration for the review I published of the projector at Secrets. Highly recommended!

Thanks for the help folks.....i am worried that just because a person has the isf certification...that they might not be that good....just like a car mechanic.....not all are created equal....i hope someone has some experience in the toronto area with a good isf certified tech.......

thanks for all the responses
