It's much better if the threads are readily available at the top of the forum. Why the change?

Things were getting messy. I clean house every few months.

Please note: You can subscribe to a thread and receive email response to track your favorite thread.
Do so by viewing the first post in the thread of interest, upper right hand corner drop down chose subscribe to thread. Another window will open and choose email notification. Then select subscribe.

Give it a try!!

I know I use the notifications for a lot of threads I follow. I still like stickys being visible though. If you want to clean house, why not just unsticky the ones that haven't see much traffic lately? :)

As soon as I un stick one someone chimes in and feels that thread was just as important, Impossible to please all. I feel there were other threads that should have been added as a sticky but it was getting far to cluttered.

This way is much cleaner and we can add many more links without the list taking over a half a page long on the forum.

Lets at least give this a try.

I like it like this. Sticky threads should be for threads everyone should see (FAQs, Announcements, news, etc). Many of the threads up there were quite niche.
Just my 2c

I agree...stickys are supposed to be kept for announcements and such, moreso than just keeping popular threads at the top.

I like that the sticky threads are hidden...they were taking up too much real estate at the top of the screen. I know they're there if I need to look at them, or I can subscribe!

Now, if you could just get rid of all those logo's at the top...except JVC, of course!

Cheers,

I was thinking with the recent trend of more and more stickies, if there would be an option to open on the second page :)

Thanks for the clean up Alan

That's exactly what I've been thinking recently, seeing the stickies filling a complete screen when accessing the forum, and not being interested into reading anyone of them...

I like having less sticky threads too. In fact, I asked Alan to unsticky the AVS Contrast Project Thread about a week ago. My reason for doing so was because I don't see us adding a lot of new projectors to the mix, although I'd still like to measure an RS-2 and a VW-200 at some point.
