I Have the following data for some of the higher ranking subs, but I am trying to find the same data for the HSU VTF3-MK3. Can someone provide me a link or the data. The figures below were taken from Craigsub's thread.


Here are the objective results:

AV123 MFW-15: 20 Hz: 105 dB. 20-63 Hz Average: 112 dB

We saw over 110 dB @ 32 Hz ... this sub is definitely a nice endorsement for Mark Seaton.

Nice. Compared to the competitors:

Epik Castle: 20Hz 108.5 dB. 20-63Hz avg. 115.5 dB

SVS PB13-Ultra: 20 Hz: 108 dB ... 20-63 Hz average: 113.5 dB

AV123 MFW-15: 20 Hz: 105 dB. 20-63 Hz Average: 112 dB

eD A5-350: 20 Hz: 105 dB. 20-63 Hz average: 111 dB

Epik Valor: 20Hz 99 dB. 20-63Hz avg. 109 dB


I own the VTF3-MK3 and just want to see how much of an upgrade the MFW-15 would be.

What are the dimensions of your current room? The main advantage of the MFW-15 aside from looks is greater output. If your room isn't very big then the main advantage of the MFW-15 will be negated.

The other advantage of the MFW-15 is the ability to play deeper, louder but there are very few movies and even fewer songs that will take advantage of this ability.

I'm in a similar position myself but in my case the room is big enough where I could benefit from the greater output but I'm not having any luck selling my HSU thus far.

I have a VTF-3 HO w turbo.

If I could sell it and buy 2 MFW-15 with out a huge cost I'd do it.

Is this what you wanted?

Measured results: 20 Hz: 100-101 dB (depending on configuration) ... 20-63 Hz average ... 107 dB
