I am starting to replace my aged JVC G15 Dila, TAW Rock Pro processor, and RCA DTC100 sat receiver. My first step was acquiring a Panasonic AE2000.

Since the RCA sat receiver has a 15-pin RGBHV HD output and the Panasonic has a 15-pin computer input I thought this part of the setup would be just drop-in, and it almost was.

The RCA outputs everything at 1080i. When I display a 4:3source, SD or HD, the image is perfect. But when I display a high defintion 16:9 source the image is unwatchable with a horizontal black band and unstable color.

What is strange to me is that if I am watching an HD station an 16:9 image will look terrible, but when a 4:3 commercial comes on it displays perfectly. When it goes back to the 16:9 movie the image is terrible again.

All SD stations at 1080i play perfectly as does the DVD player at 720p and of course the old pj worked perfectly.

Anybody have any idea what is going on? Thanks.
