I have a Sony STR-DA3300ES receiver and just bought a new Yamaha YST-SW225 Subwoofer. The only thing is I forgot to get a subwoofer cable.

The only one I could find close to my home was at Radio Shack and its friggin 16 ft long! I only need a couple of feet as its going to be right next to my TV.

My question is, I have a nice set of monstercable THX cables. Three prongs on each end (red, blue and green marked). Says its a component video cable. Couldnt I just remove one of the cables and use it instead? Looks like they just easily pull apart.

Thanks! :)

I have a question. My current sub (from a HTIB) has a single looks like RCA jack. What do I use instead to connect it? I bought the the 500w 15" CL-15 one posted in these forums based on the positive reviews..
