Spidergames 01-26-08, 04:34 PM hello? Jimboc 01-26-08, 07:25 PM I just had my A2000 exchanged for an A3000. I definitely notice the better color precision, especially in games. Even the PS3's XMB (which has a lot of gradient effects) is smoother with less instances of banding and such. I really don't notice much of a difference in TV or movies though. Spidergames 01-26-08, 07:30 PM so u cant tell any differrnce with 120hz on too? Jimboc 01-26-08, 07:49 PM so u cant tell any differrnce with 120hz on too? Of course... but it has nothing to do with the panel being 12-bit. All those extra 120Hz 24fps, extra HDMI port, 1080p via component and VGA, plus better blacks (in my instance) made it worth the upgrade. walford 01-26-08, 08:12 PM You will only notice a difference if you are inputting a source that supplies 12bit color due to the extra bandwidth required and lack of displays that can display it. AFAIK there are none at this time but I suspect that there will be in the next couple of years. Spidergames 01-27-08, 08:10 PM Are the A3000 skin tones the same as the DLP's? Cause i once had a DLP TV, I really think it has the best skin tones I've seen on any RPU; i had to send my DLp tv back cause i saw rainbows and then I've repace it with A2000 and wasn't happy with the tones:(... But now i have A3000 coming in the next 2 weeks :). |
