I have a question about using glass frames with posters. I'm concerned with sound bouncing off the glass. Anyone ever had this problem ?

Anyone? It's not a stupid question especially with larger frames.

Yeah I've heard that too and as a result, I would avoid glass. Many on-line vendors sell those "snap lock" type frames that you can easily rotate your posters. I opted for the even cheaper Michael's hobby shop frames with mylar sheets. There is some reflection but I suppose glass would have the same problem.
Bottom line: Go for the snap lock type frames and ditch the glass.

Not a stupid question at all. I find the reflection is more distracting than the audio reflections but they are both decidedly there. If you look around there aren't many theaters with posters on the side walls. They are mostly on the rear walls or possible a few on the front walls. My initial plans were to have posters on the walls but I quickly disregarded that notion.

Thank you for the replies! I had my suspicions about this but now I am definitely not getting glass. I will look at the snap lock type frames.

Another question I have is how much is too much when trying to add movie theme decor to your room? I really believe some guys go overboard and their HT rooms start to look tacky. Just my opinion.

Thing is plastic reflects as much as glass, I have 1 poster in a 27x40 ikea frame outside my theatre and I moved it inside my theatre just to see if the reflections would annoy me and they did, I moved it to different spots around the theatre and anywhere I could catch a glimpse of it, it bothered me, my posters will be staying outside the theatre.

As far as how much is too much, clearly if other peoples decor looks tacky to you then you do have a tolerance to how much is too much, the good thing is there are so many photos of peoples theatres around here you should be able to get a really good indication of how much 'stuff' you think fits.

I'm more of a minimalist kind of guy, my room sole purpose is to watch movies in it, I don't entertain in the room what's so ever so I'm not feeling a burning desire to put stuff in it, I have my DVD collection up on a bulk head and I'm happy with that, I think I'd like a picture or two, but until I find something that doesn't reflect I can wait.

I have glass frames and notice a good bit of light reflection. I wanted to try having the posters backed with cardboard (or whatever material it is they use) and get rid of the glass altogether so that it would just be poster and frame. But Michaels wanted $36 a piece to do this so currently I am just living with it as the wife likes them as they are.

Of course, I could probably do that myself with some spray glue and a squeegee, the posters were all under $10 so if I screw one up I could just get a new one.

Wholesaleposterframes.com sells non galre plastic replacement covers--I ordered one for one poster in a particularly distracting spot and am thrilled with the result--I plan to order them for the other postersin my room soon...

they do slightly dull the view of the poster--but to me the view of the movie on the screen is priority :)

I am in the process of getting some posters framed. I'm kind of lucky since my in-laws own a store that does framing. I'm going to try to use non-glare glass. I hope it goes well. My room is kind of different though too I recessed my screen a foot and a half into the wall so my walls don't get hit with a lot of bleed light.
