I want to get the KDS-60A3000 when I was at tweeter today the guy at the store almost flipped when i told him I was sitting 12 feet away .He said that I should go with the 55 . I can not find the 55 in my area.Is 12 feet really to close For this tv?

not at all... especially when you get used to it, you'll be glad you went with the bigger size. If I had the space (in terms of width in my entertainment center), I would have.

Nope, you are not too close at all for a 60". In fact, I sit about 10 - 11 feet away and I have a 60" and sometimes wish that I could have a 70". So....definitely go bigger, you will never regret it. One last thing, you will love that Sony A3000! Very good choice!
