I'm new to the board so I am sorry if this should be posted somewhere else. I have been having problems with my Samsung HLS5687W since November. I have had it for a little over a year. I won't get into much detail about the problems I have had with Samsung as a company, but lets just say they have been horrible to deal with. Basically I had sound problems with the tv, Samsung sent out a tech to look at it & fixed the problem. While he was here he told me my tv needed to have updates to perform to it's potential. I don't know much about these TV's so I let him do it. I later found out this TV doesn't need to be updated. Ever since he did these updates I have had problems with the picture quality. It's hard to explain so I posted pics. It's like there is a pink tint to the TV and you can see pixels when the picture is white. The picture quality was great until he did this. I have been dealing with Samsung for two months now. They have sent out other technicians and they don't have a clue. One even tried to convince me it's supposed to look like that. It does it on my cable, DVD player, and video games so I know its the actual TV. One tech replaced the light engine & that didn't work. Right now I am trying to get either a new TV or my money back & Samsung has been putting me off. Does anyone have an idea what the problem might be? And has anyone else had a problem with Samsung? If so what did you do to get results. I have already gone through there ECR dept. and they don't have a clue. Thanks for any help.

Are you sure that the tint setting just didn't get way off?

Put in a calibration DVD or put up a color bar picture and go into the pictures settings and adjust the color/tint/brightness/contrast/etc. Unless you've already tried this.

I've already tried this and it still has the problem. I don't know what else to do & Samsung Customer Service doesn't seem real interested in trying to fix the problem. Thanks for your help though.
