Can some explain the screen size options on the 5080? I don't understand "full" and "cinema" The manual's explanation - full is for 16:9 squeezed picture (huh?) and cinema for 14:9 letterbox picture. Cinema is not an option for my HDMI Dish input but it is for my component DVD input.

Full: Some DVD players and satellite receivers can be told that you have a 16:9 TV. It will then send a picture that takes the wide-screen picture and stretch it to the full height of the screen but squeeze it to the center of the TV in a 4:3 size. This will make the people look tall and skinny. The "Full" setting will then stretch this full height but horizontally smashed picture to the full width of the screen and everything will have the correct aspect again.

Cinema: Some old movies used a 14:9 aspect which is a narrower wide screen. If you watch a lot of really old movies you might find this useful. When I say old I am talking about before 1950's old. I couldn't really give a good example but I know they are out there.

I'm not sure that is correct. Last night I watched "3:10 to Yuma" with an aspect ratio which has bars top and bottom ( though not big bars). Full showed the movie in it's correct aspect ratio with the bars. I tried cinema and this seemed to stretch the movie vertically with the people being too thin and the bars top and bottom were thinner. I can't think of what "cinema" would be good for if it stretches vertically.
