There are many references to room size as small, medium or large but I haven't been able to find much consensus on the definition. My room is 16x15x8 (1920 cu ft.). I'm guessing that's a small room?

With that said, I'm pondering 4 choices. Opinions welcome. First, I'd like to thank Ed from SVS for being incredibly responsive and answering a ton of questions. I'm guessing my choices will seem a little incongruous so I'll try to explain my thinking. 80% HT, 20% music.

1) Dual PB10-NSD: there seems to be some benefits to dual subs and I'd almost certainly locate these on either side of my center, right under the screen. From what I'm reading they would provide a good dose of bass that will equal many a single, more expensive sub. I could also just start with one and see how it sounds before going to a dual config.

2) PB13-Ultra: given the restrictions of the room anything larger than the PB10 needs to be a single sub in the corner and this is about as large as I want to go overall. I realize this is a much better sub than the PB10 but my question is whether or not it's overkill for a room my size, particularly for the extra bucks.

3) The Epik Valor or AV123 MFW-15: both seem to be strong contenders for "mid-price" subs with a good profile for home theater. But will the apparent extra depth of these be better than a dual sub configuration?

Dual Valors if you want 2. Better than two PB10 barely bigger. One good sub is better Castle, ultra ect....

Yes, from an acoustics perspective a large room is an auditorium or other such venue.
