At Marantz's site. VP-11S2 still not up; VP-11S1 gone.

Actually it used to be $9995 MSRPl, $8995 MAP. They just recently changed it to $8995 MAP/MSRP to avoid confusion.

I hear its also being very well discounted to a very low street price.

The 11S2 has just been massively slashed as well.

Actual pricing varies dealer to dealer, but it definitely has potential for better than those prices.

AVS did have a very low pre-order price on the 15S1, but I think its gone now. But I would wager its still a pretty good price considering what they were selling it for before the MSRP went down to MAP. The discounting on it I was quoted was about the same percentage off as the discounting I was getting on other very similar pjs.

Well I think the confusion is that originally at Cedia they planned for the 11S2 to be $19995. Then when it actually shipped they ended up at $15995 list. But it hasn't really been "slashed" since it started to ship.

But it hasn't really been "slashed" since it started to ship.My memory is that at CEDIA there was no mention of the MSRP for the 11S2, but some people may have assumed it would be the same price as the 11S1 (or maybe some rep incorrectly told some people it would be the same). I specifically remember that there was no tag stating what the MSRP would be for the 11S2. I came out of CEDIA thinking that the 11S2 would have a lower MSRP than the 11S1 did.
