Hey all, I am in the market for a new 50-60" HDTV ($1500 budget) and Costco has both of these models (the Sony comes with a stand too). I am not sure which I like better as both look great to me. I will mostly be watching HD channels, DVD's, and playing xbox 360. What TV would you buy and why? I love the way plasmas look with the bright screen and images that pop, but I really just want to get the better TV.
I was just about to get the Sony when I realized it was the 55A2020 and not the 55A3000. Is there really any picture quality difference between the two?

I like plasma better-- brighter picture, deeper colors, and better viewing angles.

I'll be buying one in the next few months, gonna go with LCD because of the reflection problem with plasma. You can notice it in stores too with the reflection of ceiling lights.
I expect to be watching some tv during the day with some windows open, so glare will be a problem. Had a taste of that when I got a glossy laptop screen instead of matte.
Well I have had my Vizio VP50 for about 2 weeks now and all I can say is I am absolutely loving this thing....and you can't beat the standard 2 year warranty that Costco offers. At first the TV looked a little off, but after a calibration I am VERY impressed, especially for the price I paid. I don't think I could ever go back to an RPTV now ;)

My father just picked up one of those. I wasn't too impressed with the "out-of-box-experience", however. What settings did you tweak? Thanks in advance. :)
