I've finally got my 136" acoustically transparent movie screen built and installed. I've got my magnepan 1.6 Qr's and CC3 mounted behind it. Its only been a few days, but I don't think the maggies are going to work in this situation no matter how hard I try.
I'm looking for suggestions for new speakers for this application.
My room is 23' wide by 26' deep with 12' ceilings. Prime seating is 15' from the screen. Bottom of the screen is 30" off the floor.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, as with all of us, I'd like to get the best bang for the $, and need to keep the front three speakers as close to $1500 as possible.
I'm back to considering 3 of the swan 5.1s due to their sale price, but without being able to audition them, its still a bit too risky for me to jump on them.
Last thing. I ordered the Epik Knight subwoofer so I'll have plenty of low end from it.

I remember you were having doubts about the Maggies even before the screen. What specifically are you unhappy with? Why aren't they working behind the screen? I've also been considering an AT screen & I also have Maggies.
