So where do most of you go for curtains? I don't need blackout curtains, just nice curtains to go around my 110" screen.

They'll come out, give you a quote, show you fabric samples etc, assess what framing needs to be done (if any) etc. Sdallnct 02-08-08, 02:06 AM Check out Bed, Bath and Beyone and Linens and Things. Good prices and always a 20% off coupon around. We got some nice drapes from BBB for a 1/4 of what "theater" curtains go for. Steve Scherrer 02-08-08, 12:36 PM I just saw an add for some great looking curtains--now if I could only remember where I saw it! World Market? Don JBLsound4645 02-08-08, 04:39 PM Not sure if these guys can help you out with your needs. http://www.iceco.com/ Sdallnct 02-09-08, 03:09 PM These are mine. Wife wanted something with a little color. They were cheap (don't remember the cost) at BBB and had a coupon. They are not "black out" but do a pretty good job. Tho I am about to order some black out liners for them which even combined are very reasonable. This is the only photo I have that shows the draps off hand. Don't call the fire marshal on me...lol, my daughter was in the school play and we had the cast/crew party at our house so the kids could see the play in our theater, eat pizza and have general fun. http://img177.imageshack.us/img177/614/groupsmallyx0.th.jpg (http://img177.imageshack.us/my.php?image=groupsmallyx0.jpg) videocam 02-09-08, 07:37 PM Penny's on sale :-) landshark1 02-10-08, 11:42 AM I bought mine from Target! not the thickest, but I don't need that neither. jchiu640 02-10-08, 01:50 PM I bought some at BIG LOTs - Red Velvet for only $10 a panel 55x 84 gnolivos 02-11-08, 02:24 PM woah! Good find! Might look into these myself... considering using something like this to 'surround' my screen. Not sure how I would do top and bottom though.... might need some custom work -- as usual! So far I plan on using These (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5555769) jeffthx 02-12-08, 03:11 PM If you're interested in custom work, my wife has a little sewing business, and she has made theater curtains, valences, etc. In fact, she made the screen curtains (and matching chair pillows) in my theater. You can check out her work on my theater website: http://s162.photobucket.com/albums/t247/jeffthx/ It's obviously not a JCPenney special, but she does do good work, and she definitely understands the needs of an HT enthusiast (she has to put up with me, after all). She can also do blackout curtains for windows, and just about anything else that you might need. If you're interested, feel free to send me a private message. Do you have an online link as i have not seen anything like that in Australia. cheers! jeffthx 06-09-08, 11:06 AM Hi Jeff, I LOVE your room! Especially your art deco sconces. Can i ask where you bought them from? Do you have an online link as i have not seen anything like that in Australia. cheers! Thanks for the compliment. I bought the sconces from Fabby.com. I'm not sure if they're still around. They had many styles to pick from. They are all unfinished ceramic. I used Ralph Lauren metallic paint to finish them (giving them a brushed metal look by painting all of the strokes in the same direction). jj portiadegraw 08-29-08, 10:08 PM You may want to try this: curtains (http://www.prioritywindows.com). They let you design it all yourself so surely youll find something you like. |
